6th EuRyQa Progress Meeting Brings Partners Together in Stuttgart
The EuRyQa consortium held its sixth Progress Meeting in Stuttgart, Germany, on 8–9 October 2025. Hosted by the University of Stuttgart, the two-day meeting brought together researchers, students, and partners from across Europe to review scientific progress, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaboration.
Focused scientific exchange
The programme included updates from all six work packages, with a strong focus on technical milestones and shared benchmarks.
- WP1 (University of Stuttgart) presented a complete, scalable quantum instruction set, a crucial step towards controlling large qubit arrays.
- WP2 (Quantum Machines/University of Strasbourg) shared results from Europe-wide benchmarking of deep quantum circuits, aligning methods across platforms.
- WP3 (PQI) focused on benchmarking quantum methods on practical problems, moving closer to credible demonstrations of quantum advantage.
- WP4 (University of Amsterdam) opened the second day with a presentation on the path towards fault-tolerance, developing strategies to make quantum computers more robust to errors and to prepare for the post-NISQ (Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum) era.
- WP5 (University of Strasbourg/Eurice) provided an overview of project management and scientific coordination.
- WP6 (Eurice) outlined the latest activities in communication, dissemination, and exploitation.
Poster session and student contributions
A highlight of the meeting was the poster session, where PhD students and researchers presented their work, sparking discussions and forming new connections. These informal exchanges continue to play a key role in building collaborations across the consortium.
Partners align for the road ahead
Over two days, partners shared scientific insights, exchanged expertise, and set the stage for the final phase of work.
The consortium thanks the University of Stuttgart for hosting the event and all participants for their contributions.
