EuRyQa Final Progress Meeting and Conference on Neutral Atom Quantum Computing in Strasbourg

The EuRyQa consortium gathered in Strasbourg from 9 to 11 March 2025 for a Final Progress Meeting followed by a two-day Conference on Neutral Atom Quantum Computing. Both events were hosted at the Institute of Supramolecular Science and Engineering (ISIS) at the University of Strasbourg and co-hosted by the Centre Européen de Sciences Quantiques (CESQ).

On 9 March, the consortium held its Final Progress Meeting, bringing together project partners to review the progress and achievements of the EuRyQa project. The meeting provided an opportunity to assess outcomes across work packages, discuss results and reflect on the collaborative work carried out over the course of the project.

The conference, held on 10 and 11 March, featured 22 presentations and 20 poster contributions from researchers across Europe. Topics ranged from quantum computing with metastable strontium atoms and fault-tolerant approaches to multi-qubit Rydberg gates, error correction codes, quantum simulation and large-scale neutral atom registers. Speakers represented leading institutions and companies including the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics, Institut d'Optique, PASQAL, the University of Stuttgart, the University of Padova, the Technical University of Eindhoven and many more.

The programme also included a poster session showcasing work by early-career researchers, and a lab tour at the Centre Européen de Sciences Quantiques (CESQ) on the final day.
