Key milestones and events:
- UN Proclaims 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology: On June 7, 2024, the United Nations designated 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ). This global initiative aims to elevate public understanding of the critical role quantum science and its applications play in our world.
- Release of Qruise Quantum Benchmark v0.1: In September 2024, EuRyQa announced the release of Qruise Quantum Benchmark v0.1, an open-source resource now available on GitHub. This milestone is a significant step in the project's mission to provide accessible quantum benchmarking tools to the research and developer community.
- Fourth Progress Meeting in Crete: On October 7th, 2024, the consortium convened in Heraklion, Greece, for an in-person progress meeting.
