World Quantum Day 2025
Today is World Quantum Day, a moment to celebrate the progress made in quantum science—and to reflect on what still needs to happen for quantum technologies to really take off.
At EuRyQa, we’re focused on one of those key missing pieces: interoperability.
Across Europe, researchers and companies are building powerful quantum platforms. But right now, many of those systems operate in silos. They’re based on different architectures, they speak different “languages,” and they’re difficult to connect. That’s a problem—because without shared standards and the ability for platforms to work together, it becomes much harder to scale quantum technology in any meaningful way.
That’s where EuRyQa comes in. Our mission is to develop the tools and frameworks needed to make different quantum systems compatible, laying the groundwork for a unified European quantum infrastructure. This doesn’t just benefit researchers—it opens up new possibilities for industry, innovation, and collaboration.
A connected quantum landscape means more than just efficiency. It means progress that can be shared. It means building a foundation today for the technologies of tomorrow.
